About the Adams Neighborhood

 

Adams Seattle Neighborhood is located in the southeast of the city. It was named after John Quincy Adams, who became U.S President in 1824 and was instrumental in forming a treaty with Great Britain to define each country’s territory between Canada and Washington State. It is bordered by Mount Baker and Columbia City on the east, Beacon Hill and Rainier Beach to the south, Leschi, Madrona Park, and Madison Valley on the west.
